A Propos de Silvia

Silvia Bazantova is a multidisciplinary artist from Brussels, blending music and visual arts. A classically trained violinist and pianist, she sings and alternates between violin and piano throughout her performances.

She leads several projects — La Banza (solo electronic-folk), Dekla (a female string quartet mixing folk, rock and world music), High Trees (a pop-folk trio) — and collaborates with artists such as Driss el Malouki & the Watar Quintet. Alongside her music, she creates visual art and teaches. Her work is rooted in multiculturalism, improvisation and genre-defying creativity.
